Make your existence more meaningful by grabbing this life changing read from our pet RSS feed. Go on, you KNOW it makes sense!

If you are planning on running any kind of promotions on MySpace (which you should) then you may already be aware that the key to success is to acquire as many MySpace ‘friends’ as you can, as quickly as possible

To make this happen efficiently and quickly, many people are using what are called ‘adder’ programs.

As the name probably suggests, such programs will add new friends to your account very quickly, and thus, they are a very powerful tool for anyone who is marketing through, or on, MySpace.

The problem was that, up to now, if you wanted an adder program, you needed to pay for it, as there was no free ‘adders’ out there.

Not any more! I’ve just started using a brand new adder program (new, as in, released less than one week ago) called Open Adder, which claims to be the only free, desktop based MySpace friend adder.

It has a complete feature set comparable to adders you pay $40 or more for and, according to the creators, Open Adder will always be free.

You can use Open Adder with as many profiles as you want, send friend requests, comments, messages, bulletins, event invites and so on.

It’s totally free, so you should definitely check it out here

So much for lofty promises. Less than one month later the dude is charging $42. The site itself is ok. The problem is that the guy in charge of it is a real jerk and scammer. I can give about 5 examples in a period of two weks but I will spare you. Well, let me just give a couple.

    1. I pay for the site and never receive any e-mail confirmation. I contact the “company” or more aptly named “the one guy that is over this nickel and dime operation,” and after three days of sending him at least 5 e-mails I am simply told that it will be up and running soon. I go back on the site and find out they charge $24 and different times I see that the same service is offered for $42. This is really indicative of the low budget, quickly slapped together operation he runs.

    2. The whole reason he is up and runing is to send you 2-3 times a DAY spam trying to get you to sign up for ridiculously high priced informational products. So, about two weeks into the program I get this link for a site that he touts as the best thing since “spam and cheese.” The problem is the link is not functional. I e-mailed him and explained it and he returns it with the same bad link. This goes on two more times and then he finally writes to me calling me, “a pain in the ass and unsubscribed.” Look, if that is the kind of service you want from an unprofessional hack then be my guest. As for his 1 month money back guarantee, do not think for a second hat he would honor it, he is classless for sure.

Hey Peter,
Yes, unfortunately, I know where you are coming from with this. I mailed the guy who runs the site the other day, asking for a referral link, as I could not find one, the original one having disappeared.
I got a very short (curt) mail telling me that ‘there isn’t one’!
Plus, the original promise was that there would always be a free version of the program available, and, whilst the free sign up still seems to be there, it does not really seem to be dong what it promised, I agree.
Have you tried getting a refund? Sounds like you might want to, especially if you can launch a claim through PayPal or Clickbank,
3. 3 Open Adder Is Rubbish

I signed up to Open Adder recently thinking that I would be protected by the money back guarantee, only to find the program keeps freezing and there is no way to claim back my money.

Don’t waste your time (and money) on this!!!
